Block Sorting Activity

Facilitation of pincer grasp and release for block sorting helps to develop fine motor skills and motor planning to navigate placement into the appropriate place. Work in descriptions of the blocks and their characteristics for language development and visual-perceptual skills to determine which category the blocks should get placed into. Use colored cups to make it easier and place into piles on the floor for more of a challenge.
