Snowflake Sort & Stack

Sort and stack snowflakes by size and design to build a sparkling "snow tower."

You’ll need:

Optional: Glitter or metallic markers to decorate the snowflakes before play.

How to Play:

  1. Print and cut out the snowflakes. If decorating them, do so now.

  2. Scatter them on a flat surface or place them in a container.

  3. Start the game: Ask kids to sort the snowflakes by size (small, medium, large) or by their decoration.

  4. Once sorted, they can stack the snowflakes in size order (large on the bottom, small on top) to create a snow tower.

Variations

Timed Sort: See how quickly they can sort and stack the snowflakes.

Pattern Play: Encourage kids to create a repeating pattern (e.g., large, medium, small, large).

Snowflake Grab: Call out a size or design, and they must find and stack that snowflake as quickly as possible.

Therapeutic Benefits:

Fine Motor Skills: Builds precision and control in fingers.

Visual Perception: Develops the ability to recognize differences in size and shape.

Executive Functioning: Supports planning and organizing tasks.
