Spring into Action Game Pack

In this game, kids will color in parts of the springtime scene, cut them out, and use the cards to get into action!

This activity works on fine motor skills with grasping, placing, and coloring, gross motor skills in jumping, hopping, and stretching, as well as speech skills like vocabulary building, following simple directions, and using action words.

How to Play:

  • Print the Spring Activity Cards (include simple tasks like jumping, picking, and coloring).

  • Spread the cards out in a line or scatter them around a play area (such as a living room, backyard, or playroom).

  • Kids pick a card, perform the activity, and repeat or move on to the next one.

  • Each card focuses on a gross motor (e.g., hopping, jumping) or fine motor (e.g., coloring, picking) task that encourages physical movement and coordination.

  • The speech component comes from saying the action they are doing or answering simple questions about the activities.

  • If you want to make it more interactive, you can also ask them questions like, “What color is your flower?” or “How many jumps did you make?”

  • Kids can color in their scene components before or after taking the actions on the cards.
