The Evolution of Tilton's Therapy for Tots

Tilton’s Therapy For Tots became an official outpatient mobile pediatric therapy corporation July of 2009. I graduated from Oregon State University the year of 1989 with a Bachelor of Science specializing in exercise physiology. I then was accepted to the Occupational Therapy post graduate Occupational Therapy program at Pacific University. It was time for my fieldwork in 1992 and decided to venture to Las Vegas. I instantly fell in love with the city. I worked in all sorts of settings such as inpatient and outpatient adult rehabilitation, workman’s compensation setting, hand therapy, outpatient pediatrics, early intervention and in the school setting.

I began focusing with pediatrics in 1995 and realized there was an untouched market for mobile therapy services. My true passion was to ultimately provide therapy services in the child’s natural environment. It became obvious to me this was where the children flourished and the follow through with families was amazing.

I officially launched Tilton’s Therapy For Tots July of 1999 with one Occupational Therapist and two Certified Occupational Therapy assistants. The referrals came pouring in from state agencies as well as numerous pediatric doctor offices. As the years progressed the Occupational Therapists grew in numbers and the community was so pleased with our therapy model. I realized it was now time to add on Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy services. We started slow to allow for quality therapists to join our team. I wanted the best pediatric therapists to represent Tilton’s Therapy For Tots.

We now have 30 plus therapists, billing management, administrative employees and Directors of Rehabilitation. All the therapists are the most compassionate, ethical, professional and brilliant therapists I could have ever wished for. It’s going on 20 years and the company has an incredible reputation in the community due to the amazing therapists and our incredible administrative staff.

Sincerely,

Debbie Tilton OTR/L CEO
