Therapist Feature: Terri Gregg MOT, OTR/L

Terri Gregg has been with Tilton’s Theory for Tots for the longest of all of the therapists, approximately 19 years. Terri and Debbie worked together, Debbie as OT and Terri as COTA and Terri loved working together.

In 1994, Terri received her Associate of Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and worked in New York in a school-based setting for a year. Her original goal was to become a health or P.E. teacher and playing volleyball. One day she came across a brochure with a story that intrigued her. Someone had worked to be able to play golf again after suffering a stroke through OT. This led to discovery of the many things therapists enjoy about being an Occupational Therapist. Over the years she has worked in a variety of professional settings including geriatrics, nursing homes, and rehabilitation, before finding pediatric mobile therapy. Terri returned to school to be an OT in 2007 from Concordia University in Wisconsin, and continued with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

Terri has embraced all the benefits of pediatric mobile therapy and loving her position as an occupational therapist. This setting allows therapists to have flexibility and balance in their personal lives to a higher extent, granting them to control their own schedule based around their family life and needs. This work also permits for a flexible vacation schedule as well!

Terri hails from Buffalo, NY, previously lived in Huntington Beach, CA and enjoys spending time on the coasts, going to Disneyland at Halloween, supporting the Golden Knights, loving her two cats, and coaching her daughter’s volleyball team (who won all their games and went to championship!)

A major focus for Terri is learning, and teaching students as equals for more learning opportunities. She wants to give back to the system because therapists don’t always have the clinical instruction they need. Over the years she aimed to create a safe and fun learning environment to help her many students grow. Her passion for teaching and encouraging others enhances her value as a clinician, as parents can learn methods to working with their children, too!  We are lucky to have Terri and her experience on Tilton’s team!
