Sports Safety Conversation Cube

It is important for children to understand the safety basics when it comes to playing sports. To make the conversation more fun and engaging, use our sports safety conversation cube to talk about what your child should always remember to help them stay safe.

Print out our template, fold, and glue or tape the tabs to secure the sides together and make a cube. When you are ready to play, have your child roll the cube to see what picture it lands on. Here are some examples of how to talk about each picture:

Sunscreen: If it’s a sunny day outside, always make sure to put on sunscreen.

Sleepy face: When you have a game or practice tomorrow, make sure to get enough sleep!

Breakfast: Food gives you fuel! Make sure to eat a healthy, balanced meal before getting into the sport.

Temperature: Hot days can be dangerous! Make sure you know where to find the shade before you play.

Water bottle: Hydration, hydration, hydration. Before, during, and after playing sports.

Baseball glove: Don’t forget your gear! Make sure you have any safety equipment, pads, goggles, etc. you need.
