Team Feature: Deanna Yates, Billing & Credentialing Manager

This month we are featuring our wonderful team member, Billing and Credentialing Manager, Deanna Yates!

Deanna has worked in the medical field for over 25 years and has been a crucial member of the Tilton’s Therapy team for over 20 years!

Through the course of her experience, Deanna understands how difficult insurance can be to understand and she appreciates that she has the opportunity to love and advocate for the patients and providers with whom she works. One aspect that she feels strongly about is advocating for patients:

“I feel that when a patient pays for insurances they deserve to use that insurance without having to pay too much more out of pocket. As well as when a provider sees a patient they deserve to be paid from the insurance at the highest possible rate.”

Working in the medical field, Deanna has gained extensive experience in many different areas. She is skilled in working with complicated processes such as scheduling, authorizations, claims processing/appeals, and insurance credentialing.

Deanna provided opportunities for internships for medical billing students after graduating from their college programs, giving back to her profession for many years. She feels that it is very important that students gain first-hand experience and training in dealing with insurance and not just rely on what they learn from a book.

Las Vegas, NV was the place Deanna and her family called home for many years. After moving several times, they ended up taking residence in Central Florida in 2022. Deanna loves the weather in Florida and appreciates the wide range of fun activities available to her. Although it is beautiful, she says, “There is good all around us if we just look for it. We have to be grateful for the bad so we can appreciate the good even more.

In her spare time, Deanne enjoys crafting and creating things as well as taking some fun family adventures.

Thank you, Deanna, for your dedication to Tilton’s Therapy and to all of the patients and providers who appreciate all that you do!
