Autism Awareness
April is Autism Awareness Month! Individuals with autism have many different symptoms, so it is usually referred to as a “spectrum” of qualities or varied behaviors associated with autism. As time progresses, we find more and more individuals each year are diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Today, approximately 1 in 59 children is diagnosed with ASD. Autism is broad in its diagnosis, and its characteristics range from social skills and behavior to physical aspects like seizures or sleep disorders.
The Gala of Trees: Supporting Children in Need
Getting in the holiday spirit is easy after contributing to an event like The Gala of Trees, which takes place in Salem, Oregon.

Team Feature: Alyssa Carreon, PT
This month we are featuring a new member of the Tilton’s Therapy team, Alyssa Carreon, Physical Therapist!
Alyssa pronounces her name “Uh-l-eye-ssa” and not the usual “Uh-lih-ssa.” She was born and raised in the beautiful biggest little city of Reno. At the University of Nevada, Reno, Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Science in 2018. She continued on to achieve her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington in 2022.

This month we are featuring our wonderful team member, Billing and Credentialing Manager, Deanna Yates! Deanna has worked in the medical field for over 25 years and has been a crucial member of the Tilton’s Therapy team for over 20 years!
2023 Vision Statement
2022 was a fabulous year for Tilton's Therapy and I want to take a moment to extend my gratitude and acknowledge some of our achievements over the past year. We would not be where we are without the trust and loyalty from our clients and families, and the dedication from our therapists and administrative team who embody our mission and core values each and every day.
Team Feature: Francisco Segura, PT
This month, we are featuring one of our excellent Physical Therapists, Francisco Segura.
Francisco earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Cal State LA in 2011 before continuing his education, achieving a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Touro University in 2014. When he began working in this profession, Francisco never thought he would be interested in working with children.

For this month, we are featuring a new team member, Elizabeth McDonough, Executive Administrator!
Born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Salem, Oregon, Elizabeth has lived and spent time in other areas of the country, including the East Coast - New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts.

This month we are highlighting our talented Occupational Therapist, Meghan Poach!
Meghan always knew she wanted to work in healthcare, originally thinking she would be a nurse. After shadowing individuals in multiple professions, she grew to love Occupational Therapy because it combines many of her strengths and allows her to help children achieve their goals.
Team Feature: Jordan Sambrano, OT
This month, our featured team member is Occupational Therapist Jordan Sambrano! Jordan received an undergraduate degree in General Studies as well as Gerontology and Addiction Treatment Services from the University of Nevada Reno (UNR). She then went on to receive a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Touro University Nevada.

This month, our featured therapist is Jillian Campbell, Occupational Therapist Assistant! Jillian has been working in the industry as a pediatric COTA for three years and expresses her excitement about recently joining the Tilton’s Therapy team.
Team Feature: Elle Gunderson, OT
Elle Gunderson, OTD, OTR/L is first and foremost a mother to 4 wonderful children, including 3 who have various disabilities. While Elle has navigated the Silver State’s healthcare system for many years as a longtime Nevadan, it wasn’t until she began pursuing diagnoses and treatment for her children that she understood the full weight of frustration locals often feel.
Therapist Feature: Sandra Goins, PTA
Our featured team member at Tilton’s Therapy this month is Sandra Goins, PTA!
Sandra has worked in all aspects of the Physical Therapy field for over 11 years and a part of the Tilton’s Therapy team since 2019. Originally, Sandra was drawn to the profession through her love of sports.
Medicaid MCO Insurance Changes
Please be aware there are changes from the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) affecting all providers in the state of Nevada. They have called for a random re-assignment of members of Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) to be more evenly distributed amongst the four plans.
Therapist Feature: Elli Rinaldi, PT
Our featured team member for this month is Elli Rinaldi, Physical Therapist!
Ellie has worked as a Physical Therapist for years and as a pediatric Physical Therapist for three of those years. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Elli went on to earn her doctorate at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT.
Therapist Feature: Kelsey Daniels, PT
This month’s featured team member is Kelsey Daniels, Physical Therapist.
Kelsey has been a member of the Tilton’s Therapy team for a little over six months but has been working in a version of mobile physical therapy since she obtained her license.
Therapist Feature: Racheal Morse, SLP
For this month, we would like to highlight one of our wonderful Speech-Language Pathologists, Racheal Morse! Racheal began her career journey majoring in Elementary Education at Augusta College in Rock Island, NY. After her advisor suggested she specialize in something more specific, Racheal observed some speech therapy sessions at a clinic on campus and fell in love with the profession.
